Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor, is most well-known for his character on the show on television 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. At the age of 18, he began to take an interest in acting. At the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. He has appeared in both TV and films, however it was his small-screen characters which earned him fame and an extensive audience. He's been able to seamlessly play the roles of characters from both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' interest. In the first television show in which he played the role of a murderer. Then, he went on to portray the role as an NYPD Detective. Numerous times, he was nominated for both the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. One of his most distinctive facial features is said to have been the piercing blue eyes which have allowed him to portray characters who are rough and charismatic. The actor was featured as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
